Energy Solutions

From substation switchgear to feeder reclosers, we install, test, and energize medium- and high-voltage electrical infrastructure engineered to hold under East Africa’s toughest grid conditions.

YOUR GATEWAY TO UTILITY-GRADE POWER INFRASTRUCTURE

Engineered to energize, built to last.

Aamplix Power holds active installation and commissioning contracts with UEDCL, UETCL, UMEME, ERA Uganda, and the Bank of Uganda — delivering work that is inspected, tested, and signed off before a single load is switched on.

Reliable Installation & Commissioning for Live Networks

Every installation Aamplix Power delivers is planned around one principle: nothing gets energized until it has been physically verified and electrically proven.

That discipline is what has kept our work compliant across UEDCL, UETCL and Bank of Uganda contracts — from single feeder upgrades to multi-site substation rollouts. Our field teams carry calibrated test equipment to every site — megohmmeters, primary injection kits and thermal cameras — so protection settings, insulation values and connection integrity are confirmed on the spot, not assumed on paper.

Every install follows IEC 60694, IEC 62271 and IEEE C37 test protocols. We provide full as-built drawings, test certificates and O&M manuals on completion. Our range of services covers MV switchgear, protection systems, transformer commissioning and live network fault response across Uganda and East Africa.

Frequently Asked Questions

Commissioning is the verification stage after physical installation — insulation testing, protection relay calibration and controlled energization — that confirms equipment performs safely under real load before it’s handed over for operational use.

We test to IEC 60694 and IEC 62271 for switchgear, IEEE C37 for protection coordination, and the specific technical SOPs required by UEDCL, UETCL and other utility clients we work under.

Most single-site feeder or panel projects run 2–3 weeks from mobilization to energization. Multi-site substation programmes are scoped individually based on site count, equipment lead times and outage windows.

Yes — every handover includes as-built single-line diagrams, test certificates for each protection function, and an operations & maintenance manual specific to the installed equipment.
