Load Break switches (LBS)

Load Break Switches provide a critical safety function: they enable safe disconnection of circuits under normal load conditions. Unlike traditional disconnect switches that require de-energization before operation, LBS technology allows operators to break circuits while they’re carrying current safely. This capability is essential for maintenance operations, load balancing, and emergency response. Aamplix’s portfolio encompasses two primary installation environments and multiple arc-interruption technologies:

This range features advanced Vacuum Circuit Breakers (VCB) and Air Circuit Breakers (ACB) that utilize spring-operated or permanent-magnet actuators. As substation and transmission grid voltages scale upward, safe maintenance demands a physical, unambiguous air gap in the circuit. Standard high-voltage switchgear can conceal interior faults, making physical intervention highly hazardous.
 
High-voltage Electrical Isolators and Disconnectors provide non-load-break isolation up to 400kV, creating a visible, fail-safe open circuit that guarantees absolute safety for engineering crews during maintenance.
However, a disconnector is only as dependable as its structural integrity and kinematic design.
